Hot town, summer in the city

And so it begins. I'd been told springtime in DC is short and sweet. A welcomed gap between winter and summer that is gone almost as soon as it arrives. Last month it was snowing, then we had some glorious spring days intertwined with torrential downpours. And this week...boom, temps in the high 80s / 30C. Hello summer!

I knocked up this skirt back in November thinking it would be a good wintery skirt 'cos the polka dots sort of look like snow. But it never quite worked. Until Now. The material is stiff and billows out which is perfect on these humid days when you want as little material touching skin as possible (and can't wear those daisy dukes because, well, no-one wants to see that).

This summer i'm looking forward to the free outdoor concerts and movie screenings which take place every week here in DC. And air-conditioning. Tootles x
