Dreaming of Spring

Life of late seems to be a never-ending round-a-bout of unpacking/ moving/ adjusting/ moving/ re-adjusting and finally giving up.  Such are the joys of moving.  We've finally got our bedroom set up; a new GIGANTIC wardrobe, spacious bed and delightful vintage bureau (a charity shop score @ £35) have created the ideal sloth space (i'll share some pics in time).

During the traditional life clearance that occurs during a move I stumbled upon these pictures that I never got round to sharing.  The reason: they were all blue (damn you white balance) but a little colour saturation editing and they pass.  They were taken on the promenade down in Hove during, I expect, one of our wedding visits last year.  Oh Spring, would you just hurry up and get here so I can flounce my bare legs around again.  Please?

Hmmm, let's just agree that most things I buy are around £30ish.  Seems fair.

Weekend with the gals

Source: Clare Wehrle
Last weekend I headed down to a beautiful house in the middle of the countryside in Brede, Sussex with the girls.  Cue country walks, meandering around the town of Rye, lots of scrummy food, a trip to the beach, lots of chick flicks and some awesome cream teas and love-handle inducing hot chocolates.  Despite having just moved house it was great to leave the chaos of the flat behind and settle into someone else's tidy and clean home for the weekend (sorry Bot!). Although as I couldn't find any of my clothes in our flat I had to make a mad dash to H&M on the way home from work to pick up some jeans, a top, socks and an umbrella. H&M have got skinny dark jeans on sale for £9.99 at the mo, score!

We stumbled upon a fab little vintage shop and, of course, I couldn't leave empty handed. I picked up a set of rad Horsea Saffron Egg Cups from 1977 (just like these ones, but mine came complete with a little teak rack to hold them in). Looking forward to some egg and soldier time this weekend :-)

When I married the Bot back in November I went down the traditional route and took his surname.  It does take a while to adjust to changing your name, but how can I complain when my initials are now CC (yes, Chanel gifts will always be received with pleasure). Cue this pic outside a shop in Rye.  OK, it poles apart from Chanel, but it's still cool. Yes it is.
