Flab-busting soup

Then enjoy!

I think we're all feeling the squeeze to our waistlines post-Christmas, so this is a fab little soup crammed full of vegetables to help you shed those pounds.  And better still, the more of this soup you eat, the more calories you'll burn!  

So how does it work?  Well, all the vegetables used in this soup are considered negative-calorie foods.  In other words more calories are burned digesting the vegetables than are in the vegetables themselves. Genius.  One batch of soup makes about 5 large bowls, so I tend to make up a batch on a Sunday and have it for either lunch or dinner during the week.

You can play around with the ingredients where i've given options e.g. an onion or a leek, and you don't have to use the spices if you don't like, but they do give it a nice bit of flavour.

  1. Brill! Definitely going to give this a whirl one Sunday. Have just started making soup to take into work but the last recipe I used which said 'serves 4' was only enough for a day and a half! Doh.
