The Bot and I have lived in our current place for about two years and every spring we look forward to our little ceanothus blooming. Technically, it's a bush, but in our garden it's most definitely a tree. The bloom is this wonderful lilacally purple colour. It really is beautiful. The only downside is that eventually the blossom falls and creates a carpet of bloom all over our decking. Never mind - that's the Bot's job - I do the kitchen, and come summer he too comes into bloom and is in charge of tidying the garden and BBQs!
This little fella decided to get in on the shoot this morning. There I was, just a little old blogger trying to get my head right in the thick of the ceanothus to get a cool shot when, "buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz". Frightened the bejeezus out of me!
I'm in love with my new riding boots - picked them up from mum's on Monday. She had put them aside for the charity shop run but luckily I spotted them just in time. Random fact - me, my sis and my mum all have the same-sized feet, 5. Came in pretty handy as a kid, and seems to be working out pretty well now. Thanks mum!
