Sorry for the lack of post on Friday, the day just got way with me, but as you can see i've got lots of pics to make up for it! What a fab weekend: drinks with the girls by Tower Bridge on Friday, a trip to Box Hill on Saturday followed by more drinkies with the girls and then a day by the seaside munching on seafood, perfecto! How were your weekends?

We spent today (sunday) on Mersea Island in Essex - a friend of the Bot's had recommended a seafood place that serves the most incredible platters of fresh fish, right by the sea. The place is called The Company Shed and is a great little shack that just sells fish - food porn in my eyes! We brought our own (wheat-free) bread and some cans of gin & tonic and tucked into a seafood platter for two full of prawns, crevettes, smoked salmon, mackrel, cockles, mussles and crabs, yummmmmm. The place was buzzing with family and friends and the sharing table ethos added to the charm of the place.

After lunch we walked along the coast and along the pier where kids were fishing for crabs and we even saw a seal who'd come inland, clearly after some fishies, great minds! The we had a look around the RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Association) station where we met a lovely guy who explained what they do and showed us around the lifeboat. They have about 18 volunteers in Mersea and the association relies entirely on donations. These guys do an incredible job and are clearly passionate about what they do. If you want to find out more or make a donation click here.

I've got two great outfit posts from this weekend which i'll share with you later in the week, but here is a sneak peek of my favourite new purchase - i'm afraid you might be seeing a lot of this soon!

And I won't be posting tomorrow (Monday). Tomorrow marks a year since my dear father lost his battle with cancer so i'll be spending the day with my mum and the Bot. I miss my dad more than I could ever explain. I hope you don't mind me talking about such a personal thing on here, but I always said my blog would be about the real me and everything that goes with it. I started this blog in part thanks to my dad - it's his camera we use to take all the pictures and I know he'd have been my biggest fan as he was always so interested in everything I took part in.

You are always in my heart, I carry you with me always xo
